MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Several Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes turned in strong performances at the Wesleyan Track & Field Invitational, this afternoon. The non-scoring meet was one of two the Engineers competed in on the day.

Sophomore Cecelia Miller (Milford, MA) was Rensselaer's highest place finisher on the day, taking second in the women's high jump, with a height of 1.40 meters.

On the men's side, sophomore Tom Vaccaro (Straatsburg, NY/Rhinebeck Central) was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles, in a time of 11.05. Freshman Sam Keller (Newtown, PA/Council Rock North) took third in the shot put, with a distance of 11.83m. He was also fifth in the weight throw (11.91m).

The Engineers are back in action next Saturday, when they take part in the Springfield College Meet.
