BROCKPORT, N.Y. - Sophomore Tyler Yeastedt had a pair of runner-up finishes and two teammates had third place finishes in leading the Rensselaer men's indoor track & field team at the non-team-scoring SUNY Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational.

Yeastedt threw the shot put 15.04 meters and the weight throw 15.90 meters to finish second in both events. Teammate Devan Hayes, a junior, was fifth in the weight throw at 15.57 meters. Another standout in the field events was sophomore Aaron Clippinger, who was fourth in the high jump (1.83 meters).

On the track, the 4x400 relay team was second at 3:30.43. Tyler Gumina was third in the 1000, posting a time of 2:25.66, while freshman Ben Mason was third in the 500 meters with a time of 1:07.49. Alex Delaney, who was part of the 4x4 relay team, was fifth in the 500 (1:08.33).

Sam Ellis finished fourth in the 60 meter hurdles (8.72) and Benjamin Fazio was fifth in the mile (4:24.14).

The Engineers travel to St. Lawrence University next weekend for the Liberty League Championship Meet.
