RPI Athletics on TwitterGENEVA, N.Y. - The Rensselaer men's tennis team earned an 8-1 win over Hobart College in a match played this afternoon on the outdoor courts at the HWS Tennis Center. The Statesmen fall to 8-8 overall, and the Engineers, who are ranked No. 13 in the Northeast Region in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, improve to 10-3.
RPI earned a 3-0 lead in doubles and secured the victory with wins at Nos. 2-6 in singles. Senior

Brandon Mazzara, freshman
McKinley Grimes and sophomore
Sherman Uyeno all earned two wins.
Junior Michael Fields notched Hobart's lone triumph at the top singles spot. He defeated
Matt LaBarre 6-4, 6-4. LaBarre is ranked No. 18 in the Northeast Region by the ITA.
