ENGINEERS SPLIT ROAD WEEKEND: RPI went 1-1 in last weekend's action, falling at Yale, 5-0, before bouncing back with a 3-2 victory at Brown ... The Bulldogs scored goals in all three periods, including two power-play tallies, to blank the Engineers ... Senior Kelly O'Brien made 23 saves, before giving way to classmate Brianna Piper, who stopped seven of the eight shots she faced ... Junior Sara Till then played the final 4:34 of the game, turning away all three shots she saw ... Rensselaer scored the first two goals in the win over the Bears on Saturday, including a power-play goal by junior Lauren Wash to open the scoring at 17:10 of the first period ... Classmate Alexa Gruschow then netted her team-leading 11th goal of the season at 10:37 of the second ...  Brown drew to within 2-1 just a minute later, but the Engineers were able to regain their two-goal edge (3-1) at 15:15 of the third on a shorthanded tally by sophomore Hannah Behounek ... The unassisted marker was her second of the season ... The Bears added an extra-attacker, power-play goal at 17:27 of the third, but RPI was able to hold on for the victory ... O'Brien finished with 22 saves.

RENSSELAER LEADERS: Junior Alexa Gruschow (11 goals, 10 assists) leads RPI with 21 points in 29 games ... Freshman Shayna Tomlinson (4 goals, 11 assists) is second with 15 points, while sophomore Laura Horwood (7 goals, 7 assists) joins senior captains Ali Svoboda (7 goals, 7 assists) and Taylor Mahoney (4 goals, 10 assists) with 14 points apiece ... Fellow senior Kathryn Schilter (1 goal, 10 assists) leads all blueliners with 11 points.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Senior Kelly O'Brien (5-17-1) has a 3.02 goals against average and a .907 save percentage in 23 starts ... Classmate Brianna Piper (1-5-3) has a 3.36 goals against average and an .885 save percentage in 11 appearances (9 starts).

ON THE DRAW: Freshman Shayna Tomlinson has won a team-best 64.2% of the face-offs she's taken (192 to 107) ... Junior Alexa Gruschow is second at 54.9% (282 to 232).

ECAC HOCKEY LEADERS: Freshman Shayna Tomlinson is second in ECAC Hockey in face-off percentage (64.2%), while senior Kathryn Schilter is fifth in blocked shots (57) and seventh in blocked shots per game (1.84) ... Sophomore Hannah Behounek has been assessed a league-high 19 penalties for 38 minutes.

PACING THE BIG RED: Senior Brianne Jenner (13 goals, 28 assists) leads Cornell with 41 points ... She is also tops on the club in power-play points (17), shorthanded goals (2), game-winning goals (3), shots (104) and face-off wins (351) ... Classmate Emily Fulton (20 goals, 18 assists) is second with 38 points, while fellow senior Jillian Saulnier (11 goals, 21 assists) rounds out the top three scorers with 32 points ... In goal, sophomore Paula Voorheis (12-9-3) has started 25 of the team's 27 games and carries a 2.63 goals against average and a .915 save percentage.

COLGATE LEADERS: Freshmen Megan Sullivan (9 goals, 7 assists) and Breanne Wilson-Bennett (7 goals, 9 assists) are tied for the team lead with 16 points apiece ... Senior Melissa Kueber (9 goals, 5 assists) has 14 points ... Junior netminder Ashlynne Rando (6-18-1) has started 25 of the club's 32 games, compiling a 2.57 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

THE CAPTAINS: Seniors Taylor Mahoney and Ali Svoboda join assistant captain junior Mari Mankey as RPI's captains for the 2014-15 season ... All three are in their first season wearing the "C" or the "A" for the Engineers.
