Text Message AlertsLATHAM, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team swept Bard College in a Liberty League matchup, losing only 10 games in the process. The Engineers, who defeated Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). 9-0, earlier in the day, is now 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference. Bard is now 1-5 and 0-4.
Rensselaer opened by winning each of the three doubles matches, the first two by an 8-0 score and the third by forfeit. The singles matches also went RPI's way, including a 6-0, 6-0 win by
Sherman Uyeno at No. 4 and a 6-0, 6-1 win by freshman
Sundar Devakottai at No. 5. The sixth singles was forfeited by the Raptors.
