LATHAM, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team won two doubles matches but the Engineers could not sustain the momentum and dropped a Liberty League match to No. 29 Skidmore College at Tri-City Racquet Club. RPI falls to 3-2, while the Thoroughbreds improve to 6-1.

Sophomore McKinley Grimes and partner Brandon Mazzara won at No. 1 doubles, 9-7, and Graham Harris and Sherman Uyeno were victorious at No. 3 doubles, 8-3. The Engineers then dropped five of six singles matches, including two in three sets. Rensselaer's lone victory came at No. 3 when Tristan Wise posted a 6-3, 6-4 win.

The Engineers return to Tri City next Sunday when they host Rochester Institute of Technology at 9am and Bard College at 2pm. Skidmore is idle for 10 days, returning to action on March 18 at Pomona-Pitzer (3pm).
