SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) concluded the regular season with its seventh straight victory, defeating Union College, 6-1, in a Liberty League match played at the Saratoga YMCA. RPI, which is now 13-3 overall and 6-1 in the league, plays in the league tournament this weekend. Union, which travels to Oneonta State on Wednesday (4pm), falls to 2-10 and 2-5.

The Engineers took a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles, beginning with an 8-2 victory by the No. 1 team of McKinley Grimes and Brandon Mazzara. The third doubles team of Graham Harris and Sherman Uyeno made it 2-0 with an 8-3 win before the No. 2 team of Tristan Wise and Alain Grullon Gonzalez had an 8-1 win. 

RPI made it 6-0 with wins from Mazzara at No. 2, Uyeno at No. 4, and Wise at No. 3 before Union's No. 1 player, TJ Moor, defeated Grimes, 7-6 (8), 6-3. The No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches were not contested due to time constraints.
