SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Skidmore College men's tennis team dropped only one set on the way to a 9-0 Liberty League win over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) on Sunday at the Saratoga YMCA.
 
The 24th-ranked Thoroughbreds are 4-0 overall and 3-0 in Liberty League play. The Engineers are 0-5 and 0-1.
 
Skidmore swept the doubles with the number one team of Nick Tong and Kai Yuen Leung edging McKinley Grimes and Sherman Uyeno 9-8 (6).
 
Leung came back to beat Grimes at number one singles 7-5, 6-0.  Tong won at number five singles, 6-4, 7-5 over Stephen Baxter.
 
The closest match of the day was at number four singles. After dropping the first set 2-6, Lucas Pickering battled back against Alain Grullon Gonzalez, taking the final two sets 6-4, 6-2.
