GREAT RUN
The Engineers football teams saw its record season come to an end on Saturday in the NCAA Quarterfinals. Basketball opened conference play, while the hockey teams return to conference action for one last weekend before the holiday break. Track and swimming & diving were also competing in Boston meets this weekend.

Men's Baskeball (4-3; 1-1 LL)
The Engineers went 1-1 on their North Country trip, downing Clarkson (96-84), before falling at St. Lawrence (69-65). RPI visits MCLA on Tuesday night (7pm), before hosting SUNY Cobleskill to close out their fall semester on Saturday (2pm).
Women's Baskeball (6-2; 1-1 LL)
RPI went 1-1 last weekend, dropping its conference opener at Clarkson (59-46), before upending St. Lawrence (54-50). The Engineers have one more game remaining before break, visiting Western New England University on Thursday (6pm).
Men's Hockey (4-9-0; 3-3-0 ECAC Hockey)
Rensselaer dropped its weekend series at No. 8 Notre Dame, falling 5-1 and 3-0. The Engineers are back to ECAC Hockey play this weekend, when they visit Yale and Brown on Friday (7pm) and Saturday (7pm), respectively.Â
Women's Hockey (5-8-4; 3-3-0 ECAC Hockey)
The Engineers went 1-1 in league play last weekend, falling at Harvard (2-0), before edging Dartmouth (2-1). RPI is home this weekend for a pair of conference contests against No. 10 Princeton and Quinnipiac on Friday (6pm) and Saturday (3pm), respectively.
No. 23 Football (10-2; 4-1 LL)
The Engineers fell to No. 13 Johns Hopkins, 37-14, in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Saturday, ending a season in which the team finished with the second most wins in school history. The team's 27 seniors set a program mark for wins by a class (33).
Swimming & Diving
Both teams swimming & diving teams placed third at the highly competitive MIT Winter Invitational over th weekend. They are now off until January 18, when they visit Union College for a dual meet (6pm).
Track & Field
The Rensselaer track & field team opened their indoor schedule on Saturday at the non-scoring UMass Boston Indoor Invite. Both teams are in action this Saturday at the Utica December Invitational.
