Liberty League Standings | LGR! Golf Tournament

TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team hosts a pair of Liberty League matches this weekend at Tri City Fitness in Latham. The Engineers, who are ranked 27th in the latest Oracle/ITA Division III Men's Rankings, is riding a three-match winning streak and is now 10-2 overall. They are 4-1 in the league and sit in second place.

Saturday's opponent, Vassar College, is 5-10 overall and 3-2 in the league. The Brewers, who lost at nationally-ranked MIT and Tufts last weekend, are in fifth in the conference. 

In last season's meeting, RPI defeated Vassar, 6-3, behind two doubles wins and four singles victories. This year's meeting takes place on Saturday at 10am.

On Sunday at noon, Rensselaer hosts Ithaca College, which is 4-7 overall and 4-2 in the Liberty League. The Bombers, who beat RIT in their last match (8-1), are third in the standings. 

Ithaca, which is in its first year in the conference, defeated the Engineers last season, 5-4, in Orlando. The Bombers won all three doubles matches before capturing two singles scores for the win.
