LATHAM, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team won all six singles matches and the No. 27 Engineers defeated Vassar College, 7-2, in a Liberty League contest at Tri City Fitness. RPI has now won four straight matches to improve to 11-2 overall and 5-1 in the conference. The Brewers fall to 5-11 and 3-3.

Rensselaer's third doubles team of freshmen Clay Thompson and Brian Niguidula earned an 8-3 win to salvage a doubles point heading into singles.

Two singles matches went to three sets with Thompson coming back to prevail at No. 3, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, and senior McKinley Grimes winning at No. 5, 7-6 (3), 3-6, 10-8.

RPI is right back in action on Sunday when it faces Ithaca College in a conference contest at 1pm at Tri City Fitness. Vassar travels to St. Lawrence University next Saturday for a match at 11am.
