GAMEDAY: Rensselaer hosts Mount Holyoke from Massachusetts in a Labor Day Weekend non-league contest (6pm).

FIRST HOME GAME: RPI began the 2018 campaign on Friday at Hartwick ... The game is its first at Harkness Field.

HOME HEAVY: Rensselaer plays 11 home games this year with six in September and five in October.

HOME STRETCH: The Engineers play seven of eight games at Harkness from September 2 to October 2 ... Five in a row in that stretch will take place in Troy.

NON-LEAGUE AFFAIRS: RPI plays 10 non-league contests, including its first six games of the year.

EQUAL FOOTING: When considering the all-time series, the Engineers are either even with or within a game of five different opponents ... They include Mount Holyoke (2-3), Endicott (1-1), Utica (9-8), Union (23-23) and Rochester (12-11).

NATIONALLY-RANKED: Rensselaer plays four teams who are listed in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Preseason Poll ... They include Middlebury (No. 1), Montclair State (No. 10), at Rochester (No. 12) and at Hamilton (No. 19).

POST-SEASON: The Liberty League Tournament takes place on October 31 (semifinals) and November 3 (final) in locations to be determined by the season standings.

LAST TIME OUT: Freshman Perry Willett scored the game's only goal 6:01 into the game and Hartwick topped Rensselaer on Friday ... Willett smacked a backhand just past the outstretched pad of RPI keeper Rachel Kaufman and into the far corner for the lone tally ... Allyson Osborne earned the shutout with three stops, while Kaufman made six saves for the Engineers.

LAST SEASON'S MEETING: A goal in each half, along with the first win for goalie Morgan Turner, helped Mount Holyoke to a 2-0 victory over RPI in 2017 ... Rachel Kaufman made eight saves in defeat while Turner finished with three for the Lyons, who got goals from Mirjam Keochakian and Kathryn Rawson.

UP NEXT: Rensselaer heads to Central New York to face Hamilton in a non-league contest ... The Continentals lead the series, 17-10.
