GAMEDAY: Rensselaer (0-2) plays its second home game in the past four nights as it hosts No. 19 Hamilton (0-0) in a non-league game at Harkness Field.

SIX OF EIGHT: The Engineers play six of their first eight games in Troy, including four straight from September 12 to September 29.

FIRST WIN: Either RPI or Hamilton will get their first win of the season as the Engineers are 0-2 and the Continentals are playing their first contest.

GAME 1: Freshman Perry Willett scored the game's only goal 6:01 into the game and Hartwick topped Rensselaer on Friday ... Willett smacked a backhand just past the outstretched pad of RPI keeper Rachel Kaufman and into the far corner for the lone tally ... Allyson Osborne earned the shutout with three stops, while Kaufman made six saves for the Engineers.

GAME 2: Senior Kristina Ramsden had two goals and an assist to lead the Mount Holyoke to a 3-2 victory over Rensselaer on Sunday night ... Casey Collette and Mikaela DiBello scored for the Engineers, who had a 16-3 edge in penalty corners and a 24-18 lead in shots ... Rachel Kaufman made two saves for RPI and Morgan Turner stopped four shots on the other end.

NATIONALLY-RANKED: Hamilton is one of four teams on Rensselaer's schedule that was ranked in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Preseason Poll ... They include Middlebury (No. 1), Montclair State (No. 10), Rochester (No. 12) and the No. 19 Continentals. 

LAST SEASON: Hamilton's Michaela Giuttari scored three goals and the No. 15 Continentals went on to a 7-2 non-conference win against Rensselaer in Central New York ... Taylor Clink and Mekayla Wakeman scored off rebounds for the Engineers, who got defensive saves from Mac Reininger and Emma Lewis ... Rachel Kaufman (6 saves) and Kayla Bell combined to make 13 saves in defeat ... Julia Booth made eight stops in the Hamilton cage.

ALL-TIME SERIES: RPI and Hamilton have played each other 27 times with the Continentals holding a 17-10 advantage ... The teams have split the past two contests, though Hamilton has won five of the past six (2008 to 2017) ... The Engineers had won six of seven from 2001 to 2007.

ALL-TIME AT HOME: Rensselaer is 5-5 in 10 meetings with the Continentals in Troy.
