Christopher Palmiero improved 4-0 on the hill.
VS. VASSAR
Rensselaer owns a 35-11 record against the Brewers since 2004, including a 15-5 record at Robison Field ... The last 10 meetings have been split, however, 5-5, including season series splits in 2016 and 2017 ... RPI and Vassar did not play in 2018.
SCOUTING THE BREWERS
Prior to this weekend's series, Vassar had dropped four league games to Clarkson ... The Brewers then beat CCNY, 14-8, in non-league action on Wednesday.
PAQUIN RECEIVES MONTHLY AWARD
Freshman
Cole Paquin earned ECAC North DIII Rookie of the Month as RPI's top hitter in March, going 18 for 39 for a .462 average in 12 games. He had a double and a home run, while scoring 11 runs with eight runs batted in. He picked up seven walks and his .571 on-base percentage was first on the team. He also led the Engineers in slugging percentage at .564.
HOME SWEET HOME
The Engineers are 7-4 at home this year and have 12 scheduled home contests remaining, including Sunday's doubleheader against the Brewers ... RPI went 11-8 last year at Robison Field and 9-6 in 2017.
