ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The No. 34 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team began its spring semester competition with a 9-0 victory over RIT in a Liberty League contest on Saturday afternoon at Midtown Athletic Club and the Engineers did not drop a set to the Tigers.

The closest match came at No. 4 singles, which freshman Abraham Yohannes won 6-3, 6-1.

1st - Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez / Andrew Imrie (RPI) d. Jacob Meyerson / Brennan Bull - 8-4
2nd - Zack Ebenfeld / Eddie Wu (RPI) d. Patrick Mathew / Nick Lim - 8-2
3rd - Abraham Yohannes  / Yudai Teruyama (RPI) d. Verosh Jayanetti / Jake Wolicki - 8-2

1st - S. Castillo-Sanchez (RPI) d. B. Bull - 6-1, 6-1
2nd - A. Imrie (RPI) d. V. Jayanetti - 6-0, 6-2
3rd - Y. Teruyama (RPI) d. P. Mathews - 6-0, 6-1

Rensselaer remains in Rochester to take on the U of R on Sunday morning (10am).
