Favorite sports memory during career?
"I loved the Track & Field BBQ. It was a great way to kick off the season and set the tone for the year." - April 2020

What makes Rensselaer so special?
"The rigors of Rensselaer have allowed me to excel in work environments. It's one of the only places in the world that actively encouraged me to reach outside the classroom and further my academic pursuits through research and internship/co-op opportunities. Even further, Rensselaer integrates these opportunities into my four-year plan of study, making these opportunities more accessible to me.

On top of all of that, I have met the most extraordinary people at Rensselaer. My family has grown since coming here, and I'm really going to miss everyone. I hope everyone excels in all of their future endeavors, and continues to reach for the stars." - April 2020

What are your post-graduation plans?
"Working at one of the Department of Energy's National Laboratories performing research in the field of computational science. Later, pursuing a graduate degree in computer science." - April 2020

From the coaching staff:
"A team captain and highly successful short sprinter and relay runner, Dale inspires the team with his dedication, effort and positive attitude. He is super approachable and a guiding influence on all teammates, coaches and competitors. Dale has fought through and overcome multiple injuries and setbacks. In addition, he competed throughout last year's indoor season, excelling and leading the team, while on co-op on Long Island." - March 2020

What others say:
"Dale was basically the spirit of the team. He was always able to increase morale even when it was seemingly impossible. The team is seriously going to miss his positivity and encouragement." - March 2020

"Dale has always been such a positive presence on the team. He has such an admirable work ethic and optimistic attitude, and is always composed." - March 2020

"Probably my biggest role model on the team. I don't respect him because he's a great athlete, I respect him because of his character. His perspective during the situations he encounters (especially this past season) display the strongest characteristics of a captain and I hope one day I can uphold his legacy." - April 2020

"He knew how to make any grim situation seem ok. He is the type of person that just brings happiness wherever he goes. He was also one of the best track & field sprinters I have ever been around. Great guy and great competitor." - April 2020
