WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Freshman
Jacob Lindsay shot a +3, 74 and is tied for 11th place, helping the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) golf team to seventh after the first day of the 18-team Williams College Fall Invitational. Action concludes on Sunday beginning at 9am.
Lindsay had three birdies on the afternoon, along with 10 pars and sits in a 6-way tie for 11th place. He is just one shot from 10th and three from second. Benjamin Boyd of Trinity leads the field with a first day total of -3, 68.
Senior
Joey Harrigan is one shot behind Lindsay after a day that included a pair of birdies.
Matt Buckley (+7, 78) and
Thomas Fraser (+8, 79) also scored for the Engineers.
Babson leads the tournament with a team total of 284, which is even par and seven strokes in front of Trinity (291). Hamilton is in third with a 299. Rensselaer finished with a 306 and trails fifth place (tied) Middlebury and Endicott by three strokes.
