A five-year member of the Engineers baseball team, he earned his first professional hit - a double - last night in Florida.

A catcher from St. Petersburg, Fla., Livesey had a career-year at RPI in 2022, batting a team-best .365 (38 for 104) with eight doubles, two triples, four homers, 25 runs scored and 30 RBIs in 27 games (all starts). Compiling a .417 on-base percentage and a .596 slugging percentage, he was 1 for 1 on stolen base attempts.

Livesey started 17 Liberty League league games for RPI, batting .323 (21 for 65) with five doubles, a triple, two homers, 12 runs and 18 RBIs. A graduate of St. Petersburg High School, he compiled a .397 on-base percentage and a .523 slugging percentage.

In 94 career games at Rensselaer, Livesey hit .301, collecting 81 hits in 269 at-bats across five seasons. He recorded 19 doubles, two triples and four homes, with 49 runs and 51 RBIs. He compiled a .374 on-base percentage and a .431 slugging percentage, with three stolen bases. Defensively, he had a .985 fielding percentage, including a sparking .996 mark in his final season.

Livesey becomes the 11th former RPI baseball players to appear in a professional baseball game and the first to play in an affiliated game since Patrick Reardon '10 in 2012.
