TROY, N.Y.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's track & field team finished in first place in the team standings at this weekend's Liberty League Track & Field Championships held at Harkness Field. The team victory marks the 21st time in which the Engineer men have secured the conference title, which ranks most among Liberty League competitions.

The Engineers claimed nine individual gold medals and 24 podium finishes throughout the event, with Josh Ihegihu (100m and 200m), Alexander Flynn (400m), Cory Kennedy (1500m), Mitchell Dailey (5000m), Vincent Simonetti (10,000m), Jason Gibbons (3000m Steeplechase), Yathin Vemula (High Jump), and Tristan Mangin (Javelin) all representing RPI with first place performances. With his two gold medals, Ihegihu received the meet's Most Outstanding Track Performer award.
