Six Engineers Set to Compete in NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's and women's indoor track & field teams will be represented by six national qualifiers at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for March 13–14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

On the men's side, Jack Czarnecki qualified in the mile run, securing his place among the nation's top competitors in the event. Fellow distance standout Evan Lacey will represent the Engineers in the 3000 meters, continuing a season that has seen him consistently rank among the region's top performers.

RPI will also send its men's Distance Medley Relay squad, comprised of Danny Gall, Alexander Flynn, Dominic Pena, and Jack Czarnecki, after posting a qualifying mark that ranks among the top relay performances in Division III this season.

The RPI women will also feature multiple qualifiers at the national meet. Alice Brambati earned a spot in the long jump, where she has been one of the Engineers' top field event performers throughout the winter season.

Distance standout Julianne Bleskoski qualified in two events, earning national berths in both the 3000 meters and the 5000 meters following a dominant indoor campaign that included Liberty League championship performances and nationally competitive times. Bleskoski finished runner-up in the 3000m at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.

Qualification for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships is limited to the top 20 declared student-athletes in each individual event, including the combined events, and the top 12 declared relay teams nationally. Athletes will compete in preliminary and final rounds across the two-day meet, with All-America honors awarded to the top eight finishers in each event.
