MIDDLEBURY, VT.- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team competed this weekend at the Middlebury College Invitational.
Aiden Drover-Mattinen highlighted the weekend with a victory in A-flight singles for the Engineers. Drover-Mattinen defeated Dylan Walters of Brandeis 6-1, 6-4 in Sunday's final.
The team of Nico Luis and Tasmay Shah also registered the win in the B-flight doubles, as the pair claimed an 8-4 triumph over a duo from Brandeis.
Suhas Krishnan battled into a third set before finishing runner-up in the C-flight singles. Krishnan and Reid Larsen of Middlebury fought to a 6-2, 4-6, 10-3 result.
The Engineers will look ahead to the ITA Northeast Regional beginning September 26 at Drew University on Madison, NJ.
