Box Score CAMBRIDGE, Mass - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team toppled MIT by the score of 5-2 this afternoon.
Aiden Drover-Mattinen started the day with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory as the number one seed. Second-seed Archit Yemula also claimed 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win and Andy Zhu came back to earn a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 triumph in the third slot.
The Engineers earned victories in each of the three doubles matches as well. Drover-Mattinen/Zhu paired for a 6-3 win, while the pairings Joel McCandless/Tsubi Okada (6-2) and Yemula/Quoc-Uy Vo (6-3) also helped the Engineers claim points in doubles play.
RPI next faces NYU on Saturday at 6:30 pm.
