Engineers Fall at #5 Middlebury

Box Score MIDDLEBURY, VT - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's tennis team suffered a 5-2 defeat at #5 nationally-ranked Middlebury today.

Aiden Drover-Mattinen gave the Engineers a three-set victory in #1 singles. Drover-Mattinen defeated Julian Wu by a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 margin.

Andy Zhu provided RPI with its other singles triumph, as he took down Neil Epstein 7-6, 6-4 in #3 singles.

Drover-Mattinen and Zhu worked together to win the Engineers lone doubles tilt of the afternoon, as the two defeated Middlebury's top doubles pair of Epstein and Noah Laber.

Looking ahead, RPI will pack its bags for its spring break, which will see the Engineers compete in five matches between March 6 and March 10 in Orlando, FL.
