VERONA, NY- The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) golf team finished second overall at this weekend's Liberty League Golf Championship at Turning Stone Resort.
The Engineers shot +8 as a team over the 45-hole event, trailing only Rochester, whose five entries combined to shoot -9 on the par-72 course.
Co-captain Jacob Lindsay finished tied for third with an overall score of -2. Lindsay started the weekend with a two-under scorecard on the event's first day before logging even-par performances in the final two rounds of competition. Lindsey was one of only six players to finish under par on the weekend.
Ryan Komp tied for seventh place with a +1 weekend effort, while Owen Himmer and co-captain Matt Buckley secured top-15 finishes with final scores of +5 and +6 respectively.
Anthony Chen capped the Engineer scoring with a +8 overall, which gave the senior 17th place.
RPI, who sits #42 in the most recent national rankings, will await the NCAA Championship announcements regarding potential individual and team seeding.
