Senior leftfielder Camden Mamigonian (Dover, NH / Dover) went 3-for-5 including a home run and the go-ahead RBI in the top of the 10th inning as eighth-ranked Rensselaer scored three times for a 9-6 win over Montclair State at Yogi Berra Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Hawks scored five times in the third inning to take theiradvantage however RPI got one back in the fourth as Mamigonian drilled a pitch over the left field wall for a solo homer, his second of the season, to make the score 5-1. The Engineers then put a five spot of their own on the board in the fifth inning.  They took a 6-5 lead on Krushelnyski's two-run, opposite-field single.

Montclair State tied the game in the bottom half of the inning as freshman Jason Chesterman (Bloomfield, NJ / Bloomfield) singled to center to score Bond.

That's the way the game remained until the top of the 10th. RPI freshman Jonny Rio (Maplewood, NJ / Columbia) reached second on an error. After a fly out, Mamigonian singled to left to score Rio, who slid in just ahead of the throw to put RPI in front, 7-6. Krushelnyski followed with an RBI double to center and pinch-hitter Noah Poissant III (Cohoes, NY / Cohoes) singled to right for the final run.

Righthander Mike Cieszko (Stevenson Ranch, CA / William S. Hart) set Montclair down in order in the bottom half of the inning to nail down the win. Cieszko (1-1) recorded the final five outs to earn the victory. Reliever Christian Biederman (Saratoga, CA / Saratoga) gave RPI 3 1/3 innings of outstanding relief as he gave up just one hit and struck out two before giving way to Cieszko.

Senior lefthander John Masklee (Totowa, NJ / Seton Hall Prep) suffered the loss for MSU as he entered in the fifth inning and pitched five innings, allowing four hits and three runs (1 earned). The lefty struck out and walked one.

MSU took its 5-0 lead in the third as Bond doubled home two runs with a liner down the left field line. Michael Boggi (Towaco, NJ / Montville) brought in another with a single and two more scored as Mike Ercolano's (Vernon, NJ / Vernon) deep fly ball to center could not be handled.

Boggi had two hits for the Red Hawks.
