VERO BEACH, Fla. - Senior righthander Andrew Mondo (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) pitched 2.0 scoreless inning, while striking out four to lead the Rensselaer baseball team to a 9-7 victory over Mount Aloysius College, this afternoon at Dodgertown Stadium. With the win RPI improves to 1-0, while the Mounties fall to 0-3.

Rensselaer freshman Jonny Rio (Maplewood, NJ/Columbia) went 2 for 5 with a pair of RBIs in his first collegiate contest, while senior Camden Mamigonian (Dover, NH/Dover) went 2 for 4 with the club's first longball of 2010.

Senior catcher Noah Poissant (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) finished 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a run batted in. Junior Mike Cieszko (Stevenson Ranch, CA/William S. Hart) struck out three batters over the final 2.2 innings to pick up the save.
