In game one, the Engineers threatened in the second (a one-out double by Shane Matthews) and the third (Nick Annunziata singled, was bunted to second, and took third on a groundout) but did not break through until the fourth inning. Chuck Erickson doubled down the right field line and scored on a single to left by Matthews.

Al Mersman reached on an error to start the fifth. Annunziata beat out a bunt for a sinlge and Eric Kozak walked to lead the bases. Pinchhitter Brandon Galluppi grounded out to first unassisted with Mersman scoring. Rochester starter Corey King struck out Andy Kalish, hit Johnny Rio to load the bases, then retired Erickson on a comebacker.

Annunziata doubled leading off the seventh. Kozak walked, and King left, replaced by Stephen Cool. He got pinchhitter Jared Jensen on a short fly to left, Kalish on a pop to right, and Rio on an infield grounder.

Campisi walked two men with two outs in the first, then got Dan Warren to ground out.  In the third, he hit Sam Slutsky with one out. Slutsky was caught stealing and Ethan Sander grounded out. He hit Brendan Garry in the fourth with one down, then struck out Warren and induced Nolan Schultz to bounce out.

Chris Davis broke up the no hitter in the fifth, dropping a single into short center, just out of the reach of second baseman Kalish. He was bunted to second, then took third when Evan Janifer's bunt attempt for a single turned into a groundout. Slutsky walked, but Sander bounced out to end it. Campisi retired the Yellowjackets in order in the  last two innings.

King took the loss for Rochester, scattering six hits with two walks and three strikeouts. One of the two runs was unearned.

Rochester jumped ahead immediately in game two, scoring two in the first and three more in the second. Nick Carlson's groundout scored the first run and Warren singled up the middle for a 2-0 lead. In the second inning, Slutsky singled in Jake Meyerson, stole second, and scored on Sander's single. Sander stole second and scored when Josh Ludwig's grounder was booted.
