With the wins, the Engineers improve to 21-7 overall (13-5 Liberty League), while the Saints drop to 13-12 (7-9 Liberty League).
In game one, both teams plated three runs in the first inning. A two-run double by sophomore
Shane Matthews (Ballston Spa, NY/Saratoga Catholic) and a run-scoring single off the bat of Erickson (Mansfield, MA/Mansfield) accounted for the Engineers' scoring, while Paul Piatelli (Attleboro, MA/Berkshire School) highlighted St. Lawrence's three-run inning with a two-RBI double down the righfield line.
Carter Franz (Cazenovia, NY/Cazenovia) broke the 3-3 tie with a run-scoring groundout to first in the bottom of the second.
Rensselaer tied the game in the top of the third on Erickson's team-leading sixth home run of the game. Sophomore

Freshman Mike Croke (South Hadley, MA/South Hadley) delivered a run-scoring single in the seventh to cap the scoring. Junior righthander
Tim Gallagher (Snohomish, WA/Snohomish) earned the win (4-0) in relief, allowing just two hits over 6.0 innings. He struck out two and walked three.
Game two saw St. Lawrence score the first run, as junior Khifer O'Connor (Pembrooke, ON/Lawrenceville) drove home sophomore Mark Syron (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) in the bottom of the first inning.
It was all Engineers after that as they scored six unanswered runs for the come-from-behind victory. Freshman
Nick Annunziata (Neshanic Station, NJ/St. Joseph) tied the game at 1-1 with a single in the top of the third. RPI made it 3-1 in the fourth on an RBI fielder's choice off the bat of junior
Eric Kozak (New York, NY/Dalton School) and a sacrifice fly by LeSuer.
Sophomore
Tyler Listing (West Sand Lake, NY/Averill Park) and Jensen (Kingston, NY/Kingston) each recorded RBI-base hits to conclude the scoring in the seventh.
On the hill, Jensen went the distance, surrendering just one run on five hits over 9.0 innings. He notched five strikeouts and three walks.
The four-game series sweep of St. Lawrence is the first against the Saints since 2009. Rensselaer's 10-game winning streak is its longest since 2009 as well. That team won 18 consecutive games.
The Engineers are back on the diamond on Tuesday, when they visit Williams College for a non-league contest (4pm).
