REGULAR SEASON FINALE: Rensselaer closes out it's regular season schedule on Friday afternoon against Albany College of Pharmacy at East Campus Stadium (4pm).

PLAYOFF PICTURE: The Engineers have locked up the second seed in next week's Liberty League Tournament, with eighth-ranked William Smith taking the top spot ... RPI will face either RIT, St. Lawrence or Vassar in the semifinals on Wednesday (TBD).

ENGINEERS SHUT OUT SKIDMORE: Senior Taylor Korytko netted the eventual game-winning goal in the first half to lead Rensselaer to a 2-0 victory over Skidmore on Wednesday night at Wachenheim Field ... RPI netted its first goal in the 15th minute, after taking over possession of the ball inside the Skidmore half ... Senior Kasey Murphy settled the ball for graduate student Rachel Tietzen, who found sophomore Cori Winslow streaking up the right side of the penalty area ... Winslow slotted a low ball across the top of the six for Korytko, who hammered a shot into the top left corner of the net ... RPI took its 1-0 lead into halftime, despite being out-shot by the Thoroughbreds, 5-3 in the opening stanza ... In the second half, the Engineers picked up their play and out-shot the hosts 9-3 for a 12-8 edge overall in the contest ... Tietzen gave RPI a 2-0 lead in the 63rd minute, when she headed in a cross from close range ... A free kick from 40 yards out was lofted towards the box ... The cross deflected on its way towards the back post, where Tietzen was waiting to nod it in ... Freshman goalkeeper Tori Riopelle earned her fourth shutout of the season, making four saves. Sophomore Deidre Walsh had two stops.

RENSSELAER LEADERS: Senior captain Taylor Korytko (9 goals, 4 assists) leads the Engineers with 22 points ... She is followed by sophmore Cori Winslow (6 goals, 3 assists) with 15 points ... Graduate student Rachel Tietzen (4 goals) is third with eight points ... Korytko has a team-best 56 shots and five game-winning tallies, while junior center back Shelby Stromerson averages a team-best 88.5 minutes per contest.

IN GOAL: Freshman Tori Riopelle (12-5-1) has started all 18 games in goal for the Engineers and carries a 0.76 goals against average and an .833 save percentage ... She has seen 154 shots, including 78 on-goal and has earned four shutouts ... Sophomore Alex Scholz has a 1.63 GAA and a .667 SV% in 110:11 minutes.

RPI AT HOME: The Engineers are 21-12-2 at East Campus Stadium over the last three seasons, including a 6-2-0 mark last year ... RPI has had at least five home victories in four of the last five campaigns.

MOST WINS SINCE 2002: The Engineers reached the 12-win mark on Wednesday at Skidmore ... That total is the most since 2002.

RIOPELLE IS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Freshman Tori Riopelle was tabbed as the Rookie of the Week after going 2-0 with a 1.05 goals against average and a .750 save percentage ... She made three saves in a 5-2 win at Hartwick last Tuesday, before stopping all three shots she faced in a 3-0 combined shutout of Vassar on Saturday.

POINTS PILING UP: Senior captain Taylor Koryko's 23 points are the most in a single season by an RPI player since Shannon Maguire '13 (12 goals, 1 assists) had 25 in 2009 ... Maguire was also the last player to tally more than Korytko's nine goals ... Korytko's 23 career tallies is tied for fourth in school history with Jennifer Ocif '93.

FOR THE PANTHERS: Senior Sarah Cope leads the team with 18 goals and six assists for 42 points ... She is followed by sophomore Katie Parsels (9 goals, 1 assist) with 19 points ... Junior Nicole Burline (5 goals, 2 assists) and sophomore Kayli Smith (5 goals, 2 assists) have 12 points apiece ... In goal, sophomore Amy Jagareski (5-2) has a 2.62 goals against average and a .692 save percentage.

VASSAR EDGES WILLIAM PATTERSON: Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences blanked Yeshiva, 3-0, on Sunday ... ACPHS came out of the gates strong and controlled much of the play in the Maccabees zone ... The Panthers offense was met by the strong defensive line of Yeshiva. At the end of the first half the score was knotted at 0-0 ... As the second half began, ACPHS continued to apply pressure and finally found the back of the net at 27:01 remaining when Katie Parsels scored ... The Panthers scored twice more on goals by Ashley Salsedo and another by Katie Parsels to post a commanding 3-0 lead.

IN THE POLLS: Eighth-ranked William Smith is the lone Liberty League school currently ranked in the national top 25, acording to the latest NSCAA coaches poll ... Regionally, the Herons are first, while the Engineers are sixth and St. Lawrence is seventh.

THE CAPTAINS: Seniors Taylor Korytko, Dana Sailor and Kerry White will lead the Engineers on the field for the 2014 season ... This is the second season wearing a captain's armband for Korytko.

BY POSITION: The Engineers roster consists of two goaltenders, nine defenders, five midfielders, 10 forwards and two players who play multiple positions.

BY CLASS: The team is made up of 10 freshmen, four sophomores, six juniors, seven seniors and a graduate student.

RENSSELAER'S COACHES: The Engineers are led by first-year head coach Greg Cathell ... He is a 2006 graduate of Maryland Eastern Shore ... Cathell is assisted by Rebecca Lee and Erika Van Zandt.
