PLAYOFF PICTURE: The Engineers have locked up the second seed in next week's Liberty League Tournament, with eighth-ranked William Smith taking the top spot ... RPI will face either RIT, St. Lawrence or Vassar in the semifinals on Wednesday (TBD).
ENGINEERS SHUT OUT SKIDMORE: Senior
Taylor Korytko netted the eventual game-winning goal in the first half to lead Rensselaer to a 2-0 victory over Skidmore on Wednesday night at Wachenheim Field ... RPI netted its first goal in the 15th minute, after taking over possession of the ball inside the Skidmore half ... Senior

Cori Winslow streaking up the right side of the penalty area ... Winslow slotted a low ball across the top of the six for Korytko, who hammered a shot into the top left corner of the net ... RPI took its 1-0 lead into halftime, despite being out-shot by the Thoroughbreds, 5-3 in the opening stanza ... In the second half, the Engineers picked up their play and out-shot the hosts 9-3 for a 12-8 edge overall in the contest ... Tietzen gave RPI a 2-0 lead in the 63rd minute, when she headed in a cross from close range ... A free kick from 40 yards out was lofted towards the box ... RIOPELLE IS ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Â Freshman
Tori Riopelle was tabbed as the Rookie of the Week after going 2-0 with a 1.05 goals against average and a .750 save percentage ... She made three saves in a 5-2 win at Hartwick last Tuesday, before stopping all three shots she faced in a 3-0 combined shutout of Vassar on Saturday.
POINTS PILING UP: Senior captain Taylor Koryko's 23 points are the most in a single season by an RPI player since Shannon Maguire '13 (12 goals, 1 assists) had 25 in 2009 ... Maguire was also the last player to tally more than Korytko's nine goals ... Korytko's 23 career tallies is tied for fourth in school history with Jennifer Ocif '93.
FOR THE PANTHERS: Senior Sarah Cope leads the team with 18 goals and six assists for 42 points ... She is followed by sophomore Katie Parsels (9 goals, 1 assist) with 19 points ... Junior Nicole Burline (5 goals, 2 assists) and sophomore Kayli Smith (5 goals, 2 assists) have 12 points apiece ... In goal, sophomore Amy Jagareski (5-2) has a 2.62 goals against average and a .692 save percentage.
VASSAR EDGES WILLIAM PATTERSON: Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences blanked Yeshiva, 3-0, on Sunday ... ACPHS came out of the gates strong and controlled much of the play in the Maccabees zone ... The Panthers offense was met by the strong defensive line of Yeshiva. At the end of the first half the score was knotted at 0-0 ... As the second half began, ACPHS continued to apply pressure and finally found the back of the net at 27:01 remaining when Katie Parsels scored ... The Panthers scored twice more on goals by Ashley Salsedo and another by Katie Parsels to post a commanding 3-0 lead.
IN THE POLLS: Eighth-ranked William Smith is the lone Liberty League school currently ranked in the national top 25, acording to the latest NSCAA coaches poll ... Regionally, the Herons are first, while the Engineers are sixth and St. Lawrence is seventh.
