In game one, Todd (Poughkeepsie, NY/Roy C. Ketchum) got Rochester started in game one, reaching on a bunt single and coming around to score on a first inning wild pitch.
The visitors then exploded for seven runs in the third to take an 8-0 lead. Sophomore catcher Nolan Schultz (Valrico, CA/Tampa Jesuit) and left fielder Will Conroy (Burlington, VT/Rice) each delivered two-RBI hits in the frame.
Rochester made it 11-0 in the sixth, thanks to a run-scoring double from Todd, an RBI-single by junior Brendan Garry (Ronkonkoma, NY/Sachem North) and a sacrifice fly off the bat of Conroy.
Sophomore righthander Dan Warren (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield-Warde) allowed just two hits in 7.0 innings for the shutout – his second of the season – striking out five and walking two. RPI starter

Game two saw the Yellowjackets jump out to an early lead once again as Garry plated Schultz with a two-out single in the first inning.
RPI senior catcher

Shane Matthews (Ballston Spa, NY/Saratoga Catholic) did score on the play to tie the game at 1-1.
The Yellowjackets put together another big third inning in the nightcap, striking for five runs on four hits. Schultz drove in two with a double to the wall in right, before Conroy came through a single to left to score another run. A bases loaded walk and an RBI-fielder's choice from shortstop Brandon Heinrich (Laguna Nigel, CA/Jserra Catholic) capped the rally.
The Engineers began to creep back into the game in the bottom of the fourth as freshman
Matt Lawrence (Chicago, IL/University of Chicago High School) looped a single to center in front of an RBI-ground out from Kozak.
The two teams traded runs in the fifth, before Rochester scored twice in the seventh on run-scoring singles by Schultz and Garry.
RPI got one run back in the seventh and score two in the eighth, but were unable to crack Rochester closer Evan Janifer (Montclair, NJ/Montclair), who gave up two hits in 1.1 innings, earning his third save of the season.
