Engineers welcome Golden Bears to Robison Field (4pm)

BUSY WEEK: Rensselaer is in the middle of a six-game week, in which it visits Williams on Wednesday (4pm), before hosting Western New England on Thursday (4pm) ... RPI then faces Vassar in a four-game, home-and-home Liberty League series over the weekend, beginning with a twin bill on Saturday in Troy (1pm) ... The series concludes with a doubleheader on Sunday in Poughkeepsie (12pm).

ENGINEERS DROP SERIES AT RIT: The Tigers won the first three games of the four-game set on April 16-17 ... Saturday saw the hosts win 3-2 and 4-3 (11 innings), before taking Game 3 on Sunday, 6-0 ... RPI salvaged the finale, winning 6-2, behind a complete game from freshman Brendan McNerney, who struck out nine in 9.0 innings.

The Golden Bears, who are just 2-4 in their last six games, are led offensively by senior captain Kevin Marciano, who is hitting .397 with two home runs and 18 runs batted in ... They have seven batters hitting over .300 and seven pitchers with an ERA of 3.00 or lower.
