NON-LEAGUE BREAK
RPI opens up a five-game stretch of non-conference action, beginning on Wednesday afternoon against Plattsburgh at Robison Field (4pm) ... The Engineers then welcome MCLA to town on Thursday (4pm) for a makeup game, before NYU visits over the weekend.
ENGINEERS SPLIT SERIES
Rensselaer took Game 2 of both doubleheaders with Rochester last weekend, including a dramatic come-from-behind 7-6 win on Saturday ... After the Yellowjackets won Game 1 for the second straight day on Sunday, RPI received another strong start from Erick Zecka (4-0) to secure their fifth conference victory in eight games.
PLATTSBURGH SWEPT TWICE
The Cardinals dropped all three games of its SUNYAC series with Brockport last weekend, falling by scores of 5-3, 4-0 and 7-2 ... The series loss comes a week after being swept by 12th-ranked Cortland in a three-game set.
SERIES RECENTLY
The Engineers are 3-0 against the Cardinals dating back to 2006, including a 10-0 victory in Winter Haven, Florida last season ... The two previous meetings came in 2006 (4-2, RPI) and 2008 (17-8, RPI), with both taking place at Robison Field.

Michael Arboleda went 6-for-8 (.750) with a double and a home run (1.250 slugging) in three Liberty League games last week against Rochester, earning a spot on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week as an outfielder. He scored five runs and drove in two more ... For the season, Arboleda is batting .414 with two doubles, a home run, eight runs and nine RBI.
