ENGINEERS GO 2-3 IN FLORIDA
Rensselaer posted a 2-3 mark on its Spring Break trip to Florida last week, defeating Saint Mary's University in its opener, 10-6, before dropping consecutive games to Saint Vincent (8-6) and Saint Joseph's of Maine (12-3) ... The Engineers then beat Anna Maria (7-1), before closing out the week with a loss to Gwynedd Mercy (13-3).

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Sophomore Jake Defayette earned Liberty League performer of the Week after he hit a team-best .667 (8 for 12) in three games, collecting two doubles and six runs scored, with an .833 slugging percentage and a .692 on-base percentage ... He had multiple hits in each contest and multiple runs in all but one ... Classmate Ryan Yerby was an Honor Roll selection, allowing just two hits (both singles) in 4.0 innings of a 7-1 victory over Anna Maria on Tuesday. He struck out five and did not walk a batter, surrendering a .143 opponent batting average.

COBLESKILL RECENTLY
The Fighting Tigers, who haven't played since March 24, are 1-3 on the season overall ... They defeated Penn State Brandywine, 11-0, before falling to the Nittany Lions, 6-4, in a doubleheader that day ... Brandywine swept a twin bill on March 23, taking the four-game set, three games to one.
