After a non-league midweek contest, the Engineers return to Liberty League play this weekend, with a four-game series against Bard College ... The Engineers host the Raptors for two on Saturday (1pm), before traveling to Annandale-on-Hudson on Sunday (12pm). 

RPI FALLS TO MCLA
The Trailblazers scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning and held on for a 7-6 victory on Wednesday afternoon at Robison Field ... Senior righthander Patrick McMackin was solid for RPI over the opening 3.0 innings, not allowing a hit and striking out four.

ALL-TIME VS. THE RAPTORS
Rensselaer owns a 13-2 record all-time against Bard, including a 5-0 mark at home ... The Engineers won the inaugural meeting on April 26, 2014 – 12-1 in Fishkill, N.Y.

2018 VS. BARD
RPI took 2 of 3 games last season, including an 8-7 victory in the final meeting of the year ... The two teams split a doubleheader in Annandale-on-Hudson with the Raptors taking the opener, 4-1, before RPI came back to win 4-2 ... Christopher Palmiero earned the win the nightcap ... Weather forced a cancellation in Troy the next day, but RPI collected an 8-7 victory in the game that was played.

SCOUTING THE RAPTORS
Bard lost 3 of 4 at home against Vassar last weekend, before dropping a non-league contest to Saint Vincent on Tuesday, 12-9 ... The Raptors went 4-1 on their Spring Break trip from March 16-20.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Freshman Cole Paquin earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week, after hitting .538 (7 for 13), with a home run - the first of his career - with six runs and four RBI. He compiled a .647 on-base percentage and an .846 slugging percentage.
