The Engineers and Brewers split a four-game set over the weekend, with each team taking one game out of Saturday and Sunday's doubleheaders ... Vassar took the series opener, 5-4, before the Engineers came back to earn a 5-3 road win, thanks to two runs and three RBI from
Joseph Curci ... In Troy on Sunday,
Ryan Yerby threw a shutout in a 2-0 Engineers win the opener, before the Brewers came back from down two runs to win 5-4 in the ninth.
VS. BROCKPORT
Brockport leads the all-time series 2-1, with all three meetings coming in Florida ... The Golden Eagles won the inaugural meeting, 11-0, on March 15, 2011, before picking up a 6-1 win the following year ... RPI took home an 11-3 triumph in the most recent match-up on March 16, 2013, in Babson Park, Fla.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES
Brockport has dropped eight of its last 10 games, but both victories have come over the last five contests, including wins over Plattsburgh (10-9) and SUNY New Paltz (9-1) ... The Golden Eagles did lose their most recent league series against the Hawks, two-games-to-one, over the weekend.
