Favorite sports memory during career?
"Walking off against Union and then almost getting into a brawl at the end of my freshman year. It was a lot of fun actually and it really showed me how much our team is willing to back each other up." - April 2020
What makes Rensselaer so special?
"Everyone is on the same page, where we know athletics are difficult, but what makes it even harder is the need to do well in your classes to succeed overall, once your baseball career is over." - April 2020
What are your post-graduation plans?
"I will return for my masters and likely find a job after that." - April 2020
From the coaching staff:
"DJ made the transition to pitcher late in his junior year and saw some success. After working with Coach Farish and putting in a lot of work in the off season, he was poised to have a big roll pitching out of the bullpen for us this year. He had a lot of success preseason and in the limited innings we got to play this year. His selfless attitude and program-first attitude was evident throughout his entire career at RPI." - March 2020
What others say:
"Another one of our most athletic guys. He went from being a speedy outfielder with a cannon for an arm as a freshman to a hard throwing relief pitcher in his senior year. Another guy with a strong love for the game who also happened to root for the correct New York team." - March 2020
"DJ had a never give up mentality, leading to him being able to thrive as a pitcher." - May 2020
