At Rensselaer, we are proud to recognize the student-athletes who are members of the Class of 2020. We thank them for their hard work, dedication and tremendous efforts in representing the Institute in a first-class manner academically and athletically. We wish them well as they continue to complete the semester and become Rensselaer alumni / alumnae. 

While at Rensselaer:
Pitcher/Outfield ... Played 60 career games ... Had 12 hits with 16 runs and five runs batted in ... Eight stolen bases ... Two relief appearances ... Struck out six with one walk in 3.2 innings ... Biomedical Engineering major ... Dean's Honor List.

Favorite sports memory during career?
"Walking off against Union and then almost getting into a brawl at the end of my freshman year. It was a lot of fun actually and it really showed me how much our team is willing to back each other up." - April 2020

What makes Rensselaer so special?
"Everyone is on the same page, where we know athletics are difficult, but what makes it even harder is the need to do well in your classes to succeed overall, once your baseball career is over." - April 2020

What are your post-graduation plans?
"I will return for my masters and likely find a job after that." - April 2020

From the coaching staff:
"DJ made the transition to pitcher late in his junior year and saw some success. After working with Coach Farish and putting in a lot of work in the off season, he was poised to have a big roll pitching out of the bullpen for us this year. He had a lot of success preseason and in the limited innings we got to play this year. His selfless attitude and program-first attitude was evident throughout his entire career at RPI." - March 2020
