LEWISBURG, PA- Several members of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's and women's track & field team posted record-breaking performances against Division I competition this evening at the Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
Vincent Simonetti highlighted the night with an RPI men's program record of 29:18.13 in the 10,000-meter, a performance that ranks fourth among NCAA Division III competitors this season.
Mitchell Dailey (29:41.44) and
Jonathan Craun (30:07.07) also shined in the 10,000m, as the pair crossed the line with the third and fourth fastest efforts in school history.
Evan Lacey finished the 5,000m in 14:30.78 to eclipse the Engineer rookie record set by NCAA Champion Grant O'Connor.Â
Julianne Bleskoski also topped the RPI women's 5,000m rookie record with a time of 16:59.04.
