TROY, N.Y. — The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) field hockey program was prominently featured when the Liberty League announced its postseason honors today, as
Sophia Brown earned All-Liberty League First Team recognition and
Grace Johnson and
Emily Dubord collected All-Liberty League Second Team accolades.
Brown, a sophomore forward, delivered a record-setting season at the front of the attack, finishing with 19 goals and 40 points, both single-season program records. She led the Liberty League in goals and points and produced four game-winning goals, tied for the second-most in the conference.
On the second team, Johnson, a senior midfielder, proved to be one of the league's most balanced playmakers with four goals, five assists, and 13 points. She ranked third on RPI in points, tied for 11th in the Liberty League in assists, and tied for 12th in points.
A junior defender, Dubord earned second team honors after anchoring the back line and contributing offensively with two goals and four assists for eight points. Her positioning and outlet passing keyed RPI's structure, and she helped the Engineers defensive unit record one shutout.
