RPI Track & Field Sees Nine Qualify for 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships

TROY, NY – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's and women's track & field teams will be represented by nine student-athletes across nine events at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which will be held May 22–24 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

RPI's men's squad boasts seven qualifiers, including five individual entries and two relay teams. Leading the way is junior James Zeolla, returning to nationals in the pole vault after tying for sixth at last year's championships. He qualified again with a mark of 4.95 meters.

Sprinters Ronen Stewart and Josh Ihegihu will compete in the 200 meters, with qualifying times of 21.09 and 21.22 seconds, respectively. Stewart and Ihegihu will also anchor RPI's 4x100-meter relay, joined by Cameron Caso and Donovan Myrick. Myrick will double as part of the 4x400-meter relay, alongside Peter Cavanaugh, Alexander Flynn, and Ihegihu.

Middle-distance standouts Dominic Pena (800m – 1:50.27) and Jack Czarnecki (1500m – 3:47.74) round out the men's qualifiers.

On the women's side, sophomore Julianne Bleskoski makes her return to nationals in the 5,000 meters after placing 12th a year ago. She enters the 2025 meet with a qualifying time of 16:28.51, nearly a full minute faster than her mark from 2024.

Joining her is junior Emma McGuinn, who qualified in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.13 seconds, marking her first career NCAA Championship appearance.
