With the game tied at 1-1 in the second, RPI's Jessica Corrigan swatted in the go-ahead goal at the 60:03 mark ... With less than a minute to play in regulation Chavez picked up a rebound near the right post and pushed it in for the equalizer ... Just 2:53 into the extra frame, Chavez led a 2-on-0 break and Lauren Griggs got the game-winning tally ... Stevens goaltender Ellyn Griggs made three saves, while Briana Earle finished with five stops for RPI.
OCT. 30, 2010: Alissa Peterson snuck a shot inside the right post after an Engineers penalty corner and RPI went into halftime with a 1-0 lead ... The Engineers outshot Stevens 13-4 in the opening stanza and took four penalty corners compared to two for the Ducks ... RPI ended with a 17-11 advantage in shots but the Ducks had a 9-5 edge in corners ... Briana Earle earned the win with three saves ... Ellyn Griggs made 10 saves on the other end ... The game was the regular season finale for both teams.
