TROY, N.Y. - The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) women's hockey team has placed 22 student-athletes on the 2021-22 ECAC Hockey All-Academic team, which includes 14 repeat honorees.
For the second straight year, senior
Lilli Friis-Hansen (Lyngby, Denmark / Gentofte) was selected to the Commissioner's List, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.97, including a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the Spring 2021 semester. The Commissioner's List is made up of the top scholars from each institution.
Friis-Hansen is one of eight Business and Management majors from Rensselaer. Ten total majors were represented, including four from engineering, two from psychological science and one each from from biology, chemistry and communications. Five honorees - Friis Hansen,

Jenn Gregg,
Morgan Ondrick and
Lauren Severson - are three-time recipients, while eight freshmen are on the list.
Players are eligible for the All-Academic team if they earn a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or have a GPA over 3.00 over the past three semesters.
As a team, Rensselaer had a GPA of 3.57 in the Spring 2021 semester and boast a cumulative average of 3.40. Twenty-one of the 25 student-athletes had at least a 3.0 GPA last semester with 16 of them earning a 3.50-or-better.
