TROY, N.Y. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) has announced its Division III Scholars of Distinction as well as those who earned National Academic Squad accolades and six Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes have been recognized.
Sophomore
Molly Atkinson and freshman
Sophie Clancy earned the highest honor as Scholars of Distinction. The Scholars of Distinction recognizes student-athletes who achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the academic year. Those with a 3.30 or better GPA are named to the National Academic Squad.
Named to the National Academic Squad, along with Atkinson and Clancy, were
Mikayla Berman,
Delana Bonci,
Grace Johnson, and
Abby Peterson. To qualify each student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall 2022 semester.

Thirteen of Rensselaer's 21 members accomplished at least a 3.0 GPA in the fall, including nine who earned at least a 3.50 GPA. Eight of the 15 who were eligible garnered Liberty League All-Academic accolades.
