RPI will begin the season with four consecutive road games, opening the year with a two-game series at Mercyhurst University on September 18 and 19 before traveling to Minnesota State University, Mankato for matchups on September 25 and 26.

The Engineers' home opener is set for October 2 against Northeastern University, beginning a seven-game homestand that also features weekend series against Robert Morris University on October 9 and 10, and the University of Maine on October 16 and 17.

ECAC Hockey action begins the following weekend, as RPI welcomes Princeton University on October 23 and Quinnipiac University on October 24. The Engineers will then make their first conference road trip of the season with contests at Colgate University on October 30 and Cornell University on October 31.

A pair of matchups against Capital Region rival Union College highlights the Engineers' calendar, beginning with a November 3 meeting at Houston Field House before RPI travels to Union on December 1. The rivalry continues on January 23, when the Engineers and Garnet Chargers meet in the Capital District Mayor's Cup at Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls, N.Y.
